With these materials, students will have the resources to touch and manipulate sounds to learn phonics which lead them to reading higher words. Students can learn about long vowels and short vowels along with a visual picture to scaffold their learning. A lot of my students are visual leaners and tactile.....so with these, they can see the picture and move/write the sounds out. Students do not have the same resources that we have in our classroom to allow them to learn at home. Hence, these materials flip books, interactive journals, and magnetic board on long vowels and CVC words will aid them in their learning.
