Having a color coded carpet in the classroom will help my students to have an assigned space during instruction time. Transitions can be a very difficult time of the day for a lot of my students. Learning who to sit next to and how the people around them will affect their learning is a skill that students will need throughout their school career. This carpet will be a tool for creating a space where they can feel comfortable and take responsibility for their learning. It will help little bodies to stay regulated and teach personal space all while adding fun and color to our classroom!
