Due to financial reasons, many of my students don't have access to technology such as computers, tablets and smartphones. Having the ability to use a tablet in the classroom would elevate their learning to a much higher level, allowing them to find information and conduct research for their assignments and projects. Many of my students with Autism are visual learners, learning most effectively through pictures, graphics and demonstrations. Traditional textbooks and lectures impede my students' learning process. When they are able to use technology such as computers, tablets, smart boards and smartphones, information becomes clear and understandable. Being able to use tablets in school would make learning fun and exciting for my students. They would have access to so many visuals, videos, and even learning games that would enhance the quality of their education. They are all so eager, sweet and diligent, and would be so appreciative and grateful for the chance to use tablets in the classroom!
