I am always looking for fun and engaging ways to teach our students about the elements of music. By adding a class set of ukuleles to our music classroom inventory I would be able to help our students connect with music in a challenging but also accessible way.
Ukuleles are an awesome tool for elementary school students to engage in music. Because of their small size, ukuleles are easily played by smaller hands. They also use simple chord structures that provide students with an immediate sense of achievement. Once students learn even just a few chords on the ukulele, they are able to learn and enjoy music on their own.
Our administration has agreed to paying for half of this class set as long as we can fund the other half. Please help us reach this goal!
