Many of my students struggle with basic math skills. Having iPads in our classroom will make small group instruction more successful. There are many apps and programs (i-Ready, Freckle, Prodigy, etc) that are able to target my students' needs and abilities. They will help build and expand the mathematical foundation my students need, in order to be at grade level.
Having these iPads will also give my students a more engaging way to practice concepts taught and build basic computer skills that are needed for their future academic settings. Technology is everywhere, and my students will be expected to be literate in all aspects of it. Currently, my students have access to two outdated student computers and a 50 minute lab time each week. These iPads will greatly increase my students' access to technology!
