To help support my students, I would like to create a mini maker space inside the classroom. A maker space with tools to help the students design and create projects that will help the world around them. With access to materials any time of the day, students can create and build in the moment and reiterate their prototypes as they gather feedback for their designs. The maker space mobile cart will be filled with creative items to be at students' fingertips on a daily basis as they are designing and creating for the world around them. As students are reading and writing, they will be able to bring the characters in their stories to life by creating them and using them as inspiration during the day. Young students have an active imagination and with a maker space mobile cart, I want to capture their imagination and foster their creativity.
