I chose a play kitchen for my project because I believe in the power of play in the developing minds of younger students. My students would be able to strengthen their language skills, problem solving skills, sharing and creativity with a play kitchen. I also chose bean bags for a quiet reading area. I would love for my students to have a comfortable area to look at and read books. I encourage my students to read every chance I get. I hope to instill a love of reading at a very young age. By donating to this project you will help develop and encourage imaginary play and give a cozy and comfortable place to sit when reading. I want to give my students a fun, comfortable, and safe experience when they are in my classroom. These items will help me achieve this.
