I have been reading Beowulf with my English and Language Arts classes for the past five years and my current class set of Beowulf novels are tattered and worn. I am in great need of a new set for my students to use. This great story is an excellent novel to teach theme and symbolism to the students. I have developed an interactive notebook along with this novel that helps with the vocabulary, plot, mood, tone, conflict, characterization, and themes. Many of the assignments go right along with this novel. Students may be asked to read passage on page 8 and tell me the mood the author is conveying. Please consider funding my project.
