These "I Survived" books will help even my most reluctant readers make gains in literacy. We have even been connecting them to our science lessons and using them to discuss current events! We have been able to do character studies, make predictions, study plot, and write reflections with the help of these fantastic books. They may look like quick reads, but they are packed with opportunities to discuss important ideas that actually relate to their own lives, emotions, and problems. Please help my 5th graders learn what it means to be a "great reader" by supporting my project and fill our classroom library. Thank you!
