Many of my students come from homes with the bare minimum and at least 2 of my students are currently living in homeless shelters. The 2 rugs I requested will be used on the floor in my "portable," which is my classroom space. Our portable is well over 10 years old looks it! The children sit on the floor for morning and afternoon meeting, story time, and independent reading. Without these rugs, they will be sitting on the cold, bare linoleum tiles.
In addition to serving as comfortable seating areas for learning time, the rugs will cozy up our space, creating a more warm, pleasant environment for learning.
