These materials will be used to create interest in reading with engaging and powerful periodicals that my students will enjoy. We will learn about various topics going on around the world and do activities to respond to these different researchers. I have a wonderful group of 27 fifth grade students who come from low-income households and have little access to quality educational materials. My students have a thirst for reading and knowledge. I would like to introduce them to one of the most engaging periodicals in kid literature and news today. TIME FOR KIDS is undoubtedly the best ELA source for reading as it is full of exciting real life news stories and publications with well renowned scientists and inquirers leading the highlights as they pioneer educational ideals in society today. I would like to further introduce more reading into my children's lives and hope to find some generous people who can help me in this endeavor. God bless!
