Flexible seating permits students to learn in an environment that supports their individuality. It allows them to take ownership of their education as they are encouraged to make choices, which help them to become more engaged in the learning process. They decide if they work more effectively standing, or sitting on a stool that moves, and therefore prevents them from getting distracted as a result of excess energy.
Students need the opportunity to make decisions to further their academic potential.
I have chosen five different seating options. The different seating options are as follows: Wobble cushions, donut balls, active learning stools, soft seats and floor seats. By providing a variety of options, students will be able to discover what is best for them. All of the seating options will be available, and every pupil will decide which best suits their unique learning style.
