My first graders will not have daily access to the classroom library this year, due to COVID-19. They will need to keep the same 2 or 3 library books for at least a week (that is a life time for a 6 year old). If I can provide my students with a kindle fire, they will be able to download books of their choice. They can take fun quizzes on those books and earn points towards rewards. The students in my classroom receive intense reading and math intervention to help close the academic gap. They will be able to use the Kindle Fire to access their personalized intervention program. There are many ways to incorporate this technology into the classroom and I am excited for each of my students to have this opportunity.
