Students learn best in small groups using hands on manipulatives. I want to provide my students with a listening center they can go to during center time. My students lack access to technology, which is important with this upcoming tech savvy generation.
When students are listening to stories being read aloud they are developing critical comprehension skills. They will be able to listen to fluent readers and follow along in a book - Books by Dr. Seuss where they can practice rhyming words and other engaging stories they love. My hope is to capture their interest and keep them at this center for longer periods of time.
