Flexible seating allows students to choose the best work environment for themselves. Many students struggle to sit still for 6 hours of instruction, especially young students and those with ADHD or other special needs. They learn through movement, collaboration, and hands-on activities. Providing flexible seating, such as wobble chairs allows all students to be successful.
Wobble chairs promote good posture, provide sensory input, and increase blood flow which leads to improved focus. These wobble chairs provide an outlet for movement during instruction so students can learn and move at the same time. Students are empowered when they choose what is best for themselves. I have seen the benefits of standing desks, stools, and wobble chairs. My students are so excited when it is their turn to use the flexible seating materials. With these additional chairs, more students will be empowered to be their best selves.
