My class has a penchant for fantasy novels and fiction that expands past the boundaries of everyday school life. To bolster their passion, I'm looking to add options to my students' classroom library, ranging from the Harry Potter series, to the Divergent Saga.
Reading such books gives young readers some of the most magical things in life: a spark of interest in the unknown and fuel for their minds to soar through the skies of imagination.
The goal to give my students the opportunity to expand their circles of reading comes from a place of genuine compassion. I want my classroom to be a haven for learning and reading, where all students can have a safe space to enjoy what they like with the potential of new books.
