Our students live in extreme poverty, offsetting the costs of having a prepared student, increases the happiness quotient and social emotional well being of not only our students but also their families. Please assist us in making a positive difference in our children's lives. The Everest and Trailmaker backpacks that I've selected, offer fashion, function and assist in furthering the overall impact of a well prepared student population, that looks forward to a magical, transformative day at their school. We have a large population of students who enter our school at various times, because of their transition through the shelter system. Some children are starting over from scratch, have never been to school before or are the victims of displacement due to domestic violence, crime in their neighborhoods, house fires or eviction. Offering this resource only enhances our work and improves our effectiveness in implementing strategies that focus on "whole child," educational values.
