I teach at a school that has high poverty, and a large number of students do not come in contact with technology outside of the little technology we have at the school where I teach. I want to use this project to develop their skills with technology while enriching their literary skills. I also am a theatre teacher, so my theatre students will have the ability to apply technology and research into the performing arts using the requested Chromebooks.
This project would touch and change the lives of so many students, and the project will enrich their education and abilities to compete in a world that is consistently changing. This project would allow for deeper research skills to be developed. I will be able to teach writing with much more ease. I would not have to compete with 50 other educators for one of the two labs that we have on our campus that has a population of 1,200 students. This will allow my students to have the opportunity to compete with the rest of the developed world.
