Middle School Physics Unit- Coding with Spheros
Spheros will allow students to incorporate coding into our physics lessons on speed. These programmable balls of fun allow students to code Spheros to solve our Mystery Maze. Student will code Spheros utilizing the Sphero.edu app. We will challenge them to use loops and functions. Students will analyze Spheros’ distance vs time graphs to understand speed more deeply.
As Indiana is incorporating computer science standards into our curriculum, I am hoping to fund hands-on opportunities for my students. Through technology based science units like this one on speed, students will fine tune collaboration creativity, and communication skills.
