I would love to put a new rug into my classroom. The rug we have now is too big and it doesn't have squares. I'd like for the students to have squares so they can each individually have their own spot. I am currently using tape to mark their spots, but the students pick on it and its have a hard time seeing the X tape.
The square carpet I am requesting will be more visually appealing to them. The students love vibrant colors and they would be so excited if they one day walked into the classroom to see a rug like this.
We spend the majority of our time at the carpet. We spend our time writing on the carpet, reading on the carpet, singing, dancing and playing games. This would be like getting a new toy for them, as the other carpet is getting worn out, dirty and old.
