Having options like a weighted blanket, a toy that spins, or a heated stuffed animal, can make a huge difference in the life of a child with Autism. I've asked for several items which I believe will help my students stay calm when they feel they need a break. Sometimes things that don't bother most people, are very upsetting for children with Autism. It can help them calm their body and mind, so they can have a successful day at school.
