My students need seating while receiving small group reading intervention services and they require flexible and comfortable seating. In addition to reading at least one grade level below, many of my students also have sensory, behavioral, and/or emotional issues that impacts their learning. Having the flex, comfy seats will provide them not only with comfort but security and support as well.
My school is located in Rochester, NY and is the area's first science and technology-focused elementary school. In addition to flexible seating, my students would greatly benefit from the use of Kindle Fire tablets in order to give them the access to technology that will help prepare them for success in school, college, and life in the 21st century.
My school cannot provide funding and I cannot afford to purchase these items on my own. I have already purchased three Kindle fire tablets, but due to the amount of students that require intervention services my small groups will consist of five students per group. In order to keep the tablets safe, I will also need tablet and screen covers appropriate for this age group.
Please help me give my students these tools that will help them become life-long successful readers and learners!
