Students have not had the ability to perform for an audience for some time since COVID-19. Our school brought back the Drama program in 2019 which was very exciting to many students. However, with COVID, we were unable to perform or fundraise in a traditional manner. Now, we have the opportunity to perform for an audience but are lacking in sufficient equipment to be heard in our cafeteria setting. I have watched students blossom from withdrawn, quiet, and disengaging in traditional classroom settings, to animated and excited about using their talents in front of others. Since COVID, students have become more and more withdrawn and apathetic, so giving them a chance to perform and get excited about something outside of the academic classroom directly contributes to their overall well-being. My students have been given the opportunity to perform, but they need to be heard. The purchase of specialized microphones such as these condenser mics listed along with the stands will give my students the ability to sing & dance while being heard. These microphones are made to pick up several singers and the combination of them together can amplify the entire group at once, without th extra cost that individual headsets bring.
