For the fifth graders in my class, they are now the top dogs at the school. This is their final year here before embarking into the ever so challenging world of middle school. My student's are bright, energetic and eager to learn new things. These children come from a variety socioeconomic backgrounds, each with a story to tell. The overall environment of our school is caring and supportive to all of our student's needs. I have a wide variety of learners in my class, ranging from those that need to be challenged across the curriculum and those that struggle with third grade work in a fifth grade class. The one common bond most of my students seem to have is their lack of confidence when it comes to math.
