I have created a website with the WIX program to help my students learn to speak, read, listen, and type the Mandarin language as well as practice math through other websites via links. My students have a strong desire to learn but are hindered due to the lack of PCs in the classroom. Although I have provided fun and creative ways for my students to learn Mandarin and math, they cannot access it in the classroom. If we had 3 more Chromebooks, this would allow them access and greatly increase their learning. The Chromebooks will be used when the students are in small groups, called Center, where the students will access my website to do a variety of tasks including, reading Mandarin, listening to Mandarin stories, learning Chinese songs, and practicing math by playing math games. Hands-on access will help lower level students be more engaged which will help them learn better.
