The materials will support my students whom are categorized as Intellectually Disabled with a variety of categories including those with down syndrome, autism, wheelchair bound and visually impaired by increasing their real life experience through exposure and practice with food preparation, food safety using small kitchen appliances.
Also, the requested donation or items will facilitate my students with special needs who are also multi-linguistic, multi-cultural and low socioeconomic experience real life skills with quality small kitchen appliances which will help develop their independent skills, food preparation, kitchen safety and development in the areas of adult living, independent living, apartment maintenance and adaptive skills.
