Support Mrs. Carlisle's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students need to read books that are relevant to their own lives. I want my students to love school, and I believe I can get them to love school by fostering a love of reading. Beyond simply reading books that are more interesting to them, students will also be discussing the books with others in the class who are reading the same books. I am hoping this will allow my students to form bonds with other students in the class and open the lines of communication. Students need to read to be better writers, they need to read to learn empathy and how to respond to the world around them.
Reading a good book is the foundation of loving education and these books, featuring diverse characters, will be fundamental in this pursuit.
