The book, Bud, Not Buddy, will help my students broaden their horizons and read a book that they can relate to. My students struggle with reading and I believe they will be motivated to read this classic. They aren’t exposed to many different types of literature especially those about students like them. My goal is to change their perception on reading while in my classroom. I want to give them the best experiences yet and I believe by doing novel studies on books they enjoy we will achieve that. Students will be able to focus more and enjoy the book if they each had their own copy to follow along with and read at home. We will be able to have meaningful class discussions and deepen their thinking.

About my class
