In today's age, some type of technology, whether it be laptops, SmartBoards, or Apple TVs, can be found in most classrooms. Unfortunately, this does not apply to mine. I am currently teaching in a school district where every child, with the exception of my 18 students, has access to their own individual, district-provided iPad or laptop on a daily basis. Technology in the hands of an educator is a wonderful tool. The iPads I am requesting will give me the opportunity to provide my students with a vast array learning experiences. For example, apps like ABC Mouse and various online sites teach letter and number recognition skills, math skills such as counting, patterns, comparing, reading, letter sounds, etc. These programs also enhance social-emotional skills. Having access to iPads in the classroom will be a vital asset for my students. By donating to our project, you will be giving the gift of an enhanced education through technology!
