We are currently learning how to calm ourselves down after unstructured recess time at school. It is important to our bodies to have time to rest and cool off after playtime especially on warmer southern California days. We come in after recess and lay or sit on the floor while taking deep breaths and listening to classical music for approximately 15 minutes.
We would like to have yoga mats for all of us to relax on and the mats will also teach us an important lesson on personal space. Keeping personal space ensures that all our peers are comfortable during relaxation time.
