This is a new digital age the students are growing up in. They are the future scientists, doctors, teachers, mechanics, and leaders. To be fully functioning members of society, they will need to navigate the latest technology. I love implementing hands on activities and projects that challenge the students with higher level thinking and working cooperatively. Not only would iPads allow for student mobility, they would allow for 1:1 interaction when following along when learning how to access and use our online cataloging system, ebooks, and website validity. Additionally, more interactive lessons could take place by using Kahoots to gauge student understanding, world communication with authors through Google Hangout, sharing individual work on interactive whiteboards for whole group viewing, and direct annotation on documents copied to the iPad.
