Using whiteboards and markers in math class allows me to quickly walk around to see if they are solving their math problem correctly. With the dry erase markers, it is easy to correct a mistake on their boards. The students enjoy working the math problem on the whiteboards instead of on paper. I try to make it fun by having just the girls or just the boys hold up their boards together. Sometimes we even do the wave with our whiteboards. Those that have a correct answer can help their neighbor check their work to find where the mistake was made, if they did not have the correct answer.
