My project consists of touchscreen computers and classroom furniture that enable my students with autism to engage with technology that prepares them for the future.
Some of my students find it hard to stay seated in traditional chairs. They would benefit from the wobble chairs that provide the ability to move with minimal distraction to others.
Touchscreen computers and/or tablets will allow my students access to technology that they can easily manipulate and utilize at their desks. In addition to learning, a computer or tablet can be used a positive reinforcement that students can use once they've completed their assignments.
