Our current classroom rug is old, dirty, and worn after many years of use. The state of our current rug is beyond repair. A new clean, colorful fun rug will do wonders for my students learning and health. We use this rug for all most all of our learning. We gather on the rug in the morning to start our day and create our classroom community. We use this space to welcome each other, share our feelings, talk about the weather and go over the schedule. The rug is utilized for whole group instruction through out the day, that includes; math time, story time, literacy, songs and poems, whole class movement breaks and much more. This rug in particular is the perfect size to give my little ones their own personal space. It also has the additional benefits of being able to teach letter identification, letter sounds and shapes.
