We are requesting TI-30 XS calculators. Students using the TI-30XS multiview calculator will have a tool that will make their experience in the mathematics classroom more engaging. They will be able to simplify fractions, simplify radicals, and convert between decimals and fractions. They don't have the distraction of batteries as this calculator is solar powered. I have seen results with this calculator. Students typically struggle with decimals and fractions. This calculator helps to eliminate this struggle and allows students to focus on being critical thinkers. Students that are typically nervous when dealing with decimals and fractions will now be have to have the productive struggle in areas of thinking and not calculating.
