We are lucky to have some Chromebooks in our classroom this year. It would help my students so much if each student had access at the same time. We love to do projects on Google Classroom and research topics for Social Studies topics like Native Californians and The Gold Rush. When using the Chromebooks, students can do so much! They can use our typing program, Typing Pal, to learn to be faster typers. We also have Accelerated Reader, Xtramath, STMath, and I just ordered Moby Max for my classroom. All of these computer programs are super motivating for the students and they really enjoy learning on the computer. They also enjoy the hybrid projects that involve research and then creating posters or projects from what they learn. Two additional Chromebooks will make all of this more effective and fun in the classroom.
