While good old push ups and sit ups have been used for building strong bodies, the materials chosen for my project provide fun, safe and dynamic ways for students to not only increase their physical fitness but get them on the road to staying active well into their adult lives.
We typically dedicate one entire class period a week to fitness alone. With these tools, we can create stations or tabata style training to further challenge the students and to push their physical fitness to a new level.
The better the students prepare throughout the year, the better then will perform on the state physical fitness test as well.
