Being able to teach my students new recreational games will help keep them active for a lifetime. These simple games are games that can be played outside of school, with friends, family, at parties, picnics, or reunions. Some activities like disc golf can be found outside in parks, and all you need is a frisbee to play.
By bringing in new activities and equipment, students will become more confident and engaged.
New activities will teach the students new skills, physically and socially that they did not have the chance to gain without the equipment. The majority of my students come from low income families and will never have the chance to be exposed to these new activities without your help.
