Imagine the relief on a student鈥檚 face when he learns that he can have the history reading read to him just with the press of a button.
Imagine the pride on a student鈥檚 face when she submits the final draft of her essay that she 鈥渨rote鈥 herself by using voice typing.
Imagine the delight for both student and parent when a paper study guide has been lost, and together they find it online on Google Classroom after school hours.
Imagine the joy for a student who struggles with fine motor skills being told that he can type the notes on a Chromebook during a lecture rather than taking notes by hand.
All those scenarios are commonplace in Special Education. All of scenarios, and many more, are possible with technology. For special education students, the technology has a way of leveling the playing field, but only when access is available.
