Magnetic letters are just the right tool to help bridge the gap between in-class and online learning. The magnetic letters will be used at home and students will be asked to access them during our remote word work lessons. My kindergarten students love constructing words using magnetic letters. Word work in kindergarten is discovering and working with high-frequency words, word patterns, word families, and vocabulary. Word work supports the work we do in guided reading and helps my students to master high-frequency words. Mastering these words will help students read more fluently and prepares them for the next instructional reading level.
