Our class needs a new carpet for morning meeting that can fit every child in the class. Our current carpet squares are very distracting to the students because they can move them. The new carpet will allow my students to grow as a community, and provide a flexible seating option for the children to work on during center time. They will be able to take control of their of their learning and make choices that work best for them.
During independent work times I want the children to choose a location in the classroom that works best for them! The new carpet will give students a new area to work and learn. This is essential for their educational growth. In the past, I have noticed amazing differences in students when they are given a choice in seating during independent work time. They will learn how to make good choices about where to sit and complete their work. This will increase their focus and engagement. I feel the students in my class will get more work completed with more flexible seating than when they are sitting at their desk.
The new carpet that I have selected will help my students by allowing them additional seating options. As a result, my student will progress in their educational knowledge by making effective learning choices. The spacious carpet will truly help my students grow and learn effectively everyday!
