You know that feeling when you grab a good book and you just can't put it down because you need to know what happens next? Partner with me, so that my students catch the "reading bug"! I am exposing my students to the mystery genre as well as some chapter books and have piqued their curiosity, but unfortunately, we do not have enough high interest, low reading level books for them to read. Please join me in increasing my reading library to spark the love for reading!
Even though I only have five students in my class, we have three different reading groups in one class. These books will give us opportunities to really explore the mystery genre! Once we have read several of these books and gone through the elements of a mystery in depth, I plan on using the crime scene kits to create my own staged "crime scene" in the classroom to allow our learning to come full circle.
