My students have all different impairments as well as sensory needs. These sensory and light-up toys will help them learn cause and effect as well as aid them in their sensory needs. Our current inventory is very limited with outdated light-up toys, which is a highly preferred item at our school.
The joy on my students faces when they make something light-up or make noise independently is a feeling like no other. We can adapt some of these toys, such as the light-up firetruck and airplane, to make them switch accessible so that all students can use them. My students can also use the Crayola Touch Lights Musical Doodle Board to practice their fine motor skills while getting the light and sensory feedback.
