A lot of the learning in my classroom takes place through centers (students working in small groups to strengthen reading, writing, and math skills). This style of learning also accounts for the range of needs in my classroom: some students are beginning to read, while others are still learning their ABCs; some are working on identifying numbers, and a few are ready for addition. This is my first year teaching Kindergarten, so while I do make some center activities at home, I do not yet have enough materials for our centers to grow. These materials will help my students build their knowledge in phonics, counting, reading, writing, number sense, and more. Using these materials in small groups will also give my students the chance to work with their peers, build communication skills, and share. Please help us bring our centers to life!
