"We are problem solvers, not problem makers". This is a quote I use in my classroom every day. My babies are 4-years-old and I call them my little "world changers". I have a building center for my students to build but my goal is to create a center dedicated completely to STEM. My goal as a teacher is to equip my students with tools that they will need to be successful citizens. STEM encourages working together, it encourages leaders to put their skills to use, and it encourages the creativity of each student, it gives them a passion Currently, I have small things, wooden tools, and plastic straws. I am hoping to purchase durable building straws and tools with a purpose. The set of tools will be used to build cars and dinosaurs. I am also requesting a marble maze. I have a small magnetic one, but I want to go bigger and allow my students to use more thought than just putting it on the board. All of my tools have an intentional purpose.
