Think back to your science class, most of us remember dissection day! This project will serve as a memorable hands-on experience for our students. While pulling in the relevant curriculum for 7th graders as well as 8th graders and our newly founded 4H club. When dissecting a fetal pig, students will be able to compare and contrast body parts while analyzing placement and functionality of organs.
These students will learn comparisons between the human body and animal bodies. I will be able to tie in organ donations and transplants touching on biotechnology apart of the 8th-grade curriculum. The pigs once cut open can then be used for other classes as a "show and tell" to point out organs in the body.
