This year we started a new phonics program that relies heavily on technology. The students are on the computer program for an hour daily, learning phonics skills. Our school has been updating our computers, but we don't have a set of nice, comfortable, and dependable headphones for the first graders to use daily.
The phonics program does expect the students to listen and follow the oral directions given while on the computer. Without headphones, that skill becomes difficult. Students have difficulty hearing the program when they can't use headphones. We are struggling to show our best abilities due to the fact that we don't have appropriate headphones for first graders. Thank you!
