In our community, students often hear that Readers Become Leaders. As the future leaders in both our community and our world, it is my responsibility to ensure that the books these students (leaders) read are meaningful to them. It is my hope that through a rich and exciting classroom library, my students will continue to develop their love of reading and gain a deeper knowledge of the world around them. That these students will visit my library often, in search of their next adventure. That they will continue to love reading and find independent level text that interests them.Through your donation, you will be helping to create just that. While many students learn about the world through real-life experiences, for some students those experiences are only available through the books they read. By choosing this project, you will not only be providing my students with grade-level, authentic literature, you will be providing them with experiences they may not have otherwise. I have selected a variety of engaging books for my students to dive into, fall in love with and enjoy independently. From fiction to non-fiction, culturally diverse to just plain funny, every book has been chosen with my students in mind. May they relate. May they learn. May they grow.
