These items are for center time to help students to learn sounds and letters for literacy. We do not learn to read in a vacuum but it takes many trials with letter and sound manipulation. These items are fun but challenging for students during centers. Often we think of literacy by reading a reader or decodable but in all in all learning to manipulate letters and sounds into words is the best way for acquiring literacy. My experience with these items have helped students in the past to learn to read.
