I teach a multiage classroom of 22 4th and 5th graders. My class is an inclusion classroom, currently 1/4-1/3 of my class are on IEPs, BIPs, or 504s. Typically my students stay with me for 2 years, starting as 4th graders and then moving up to be 5th graders, while a new batch of 4th graders join us. This gives me the advantage of already knowing half of my class each year, so I can better anticipate their needs early on in the school year.
